WHAT THE MUCK?! Annual Lake Elizabeth Volunteer Event

ARE YOU UP TO THE CHALLENGE?

Welcome to What the Muck?! — the annual Lake Elizabeth Cleanup that makes a real splash in Allegheny Commons Park! Each year, dozens of dedicated volunteers roll up their sleeves to tackle the muck and restore one of Pittsburgh’s most cherished urban lakes. On average, this effort raises over $6,500, removes five tons of muck, and mulches 350 trees — all in a single day of impactful work. With invaluable support from the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works, Allegheny Commons Initiative, and Northside Leadership Conference, this community-powered event showcases the collective strength of volunteers and sponsors alike. Are you ready to join the cleanup crew and make a difference? Let’s tackle the muck together!
