Survey Asks Public What To Do With Heth’s Run Project Near Pittsburgh Zoo

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is collecting ideas from the public about how to enhance a 60-acre tract of land near the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in Highland Park known as Heth’s Run.

The zoo’s parking lot occupies much of Heth’s Run, which abuts Morningside, but it also includes open land and a former stream valley that extends to the Allegheny River.

The parks conservancy and the city of Pittsburgh are directing the project, which seeks to develop Heth’s Run to include recreational space and green infrastructure to improve storm water drainage... Read the full article
