Responsible for all major fundraising events at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Sophie thrives in the logistical planning of all events, big or small. With a background in non-profit event planning, Sophie spent many years running events for a local animal shelter before focusing her efforts on weddings and larger-scale non-profit events. The PNC Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Spring Hat Luncheon is Sophie’s largest project year with the event welcoming 600 guests and raising over $580,000 for the organization annually. An East Coast transplant originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Sophie has a passion for Boston sports including the Red Sox, and yes…the Patriots. Her adorable Golden Retriever is appropriately named Fenway, a nod to her roots. While event planning is Sophie’s passion, it may surprise people to learn that she received her bachelor’s degree in Geography from Ohio Wesleyan University and always appreciates a good map! Outside of the office, Sophie can be found spending time with her dog exploring area parks and outdoor spaces.
