Mike (Carya) Cornell
Mike has always felt a strong connection to the outdoors, and a desire to be around other people. Working as a Naturalist Educator – Interpretive Specialist is a natural bridge between these interests. This position allows Mike to work towards the goal of fostering curiosity, inspiring wonder, and creating a connection between all people and the natural world. When Mike isn’t working in Pittsburgh’s parks or bicycling, Mike helps run the FreeRide Bicycle Collective in Point Breeze, and the Borland Green community garden and intentional community, as well as volunteering at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
