Matthew D. Hileman
Matthew D. Hileman, Director of Operations and Visitor Engagement, joined the Parks Conservancy in January 2024. His decades of experience span operations, hospitality, education, and cultural attractions. He is the former Managing Director of the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio Resort Hotel in Las Vegas where he served from 1998 to 2006. Matthew has also worked in park operations at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, supervising the daily operations of the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Magic Kingdom.
In addition to his leadership roles, Matthew has also taught as an adjunct instructor of art history and arts management for the College of Southern Nevada, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning. Prior to joining the Parks Conservancy, he served for nearly seven years as the inaugural director of the Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibit Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
A native of Pittsburgh, Matthew is a passionate advocate of accessible spaces and experiences. He loves nature, the outdoors, and urban greenspaces. He is delighted to be part of his hometown once again and to play a role in the vibrant life of Pittsburgh.
