
James Snow
James Snow is the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CA) at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a high-quality public park system that is accessible to everyone in the Pittsburgh region. As the Vice President and CAO, James oversees the organization’s funding relationships with private foundations, government agencies, corporate partners, and individual donors while also maintaining, strengthening, and expanding the organization’s current donor portfolio. He provides long-term strategic planning and comprehensive leadership for the organization’s advancement activities. In this role, James also sees the marketing, communications, finance, and human resources operations of the organization.
Prior to his career at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, James was a member of the team at Grounded Strategies, and non-profit organization that works to improve the social, economic, and environmental health of distressed and transitional communities by building capacity to reclaim vacant and underutilized land.
His work is guided by a decade of experience in the environmental, non-profit, and public sectors. James received his BA in Urban Planning and History from the University of Pittsburgh and a MSUS in Sustainability and Community Planning from Chatham University. He currently sits on the boards of the Point Breeze Organization and the Friends of Neil Log House. In recognition of his civic involvement, James was named as one of Pittsburgh’s “30 Under 30” by the Pittsburgh Business Times in 2018 and one of Pittsburgh’s “50 Finest” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania in 2017.
