White Gavin

Gavin White

Gavin is from Mars. He left his hometown and travelled an hour south in 2008 to study at Pitt, graduated with degrees in History and Architecture, and has stayed ever since. As Community Projects Manager, Gavin combines his on-the-ground building experience with his passion for public engagement to ensure resident-driven park plans become built community projects. Prior to this role, Gavin split his time between the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and GTECH, working with neighborhoods and municipalities across the county to build play places for people young and old. He’s also designed and created spaces for film, installations, performances and other events with artists from all over the place. Gavin is generally interested in spaces and places: How do they define us? How do we best shape them? What does it take to make and maintain them? Do you have an answer? A comment? A question? Send him an email, or give him a call!
