Catherine Qureshi

Catherine Qureshi has been with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy since 2014. She has served in a variety of roles including: Director of Administration and Finance, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to coming to the PPC, Ms. Qureshi has worked in the administrations of 3 Pittsburgh Mayors. She was most recently the Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Pittsburgh. In addition to her position in the Office of Management and Budget, Ms. Qureshi worked in the Department of Parks and Recreation and briefly in Pittsburgh City Council.

She also worked for the Pittsburgh Parking Authority for 5 years as the Director of Project Management. Ms. Qureshi was Chairman of the Board of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority from 2014 to 2020. She is a member of Leadership Pittsburgh XXXIV and Leadership Development Initiative IV.

Besides her experience in Pittsburgh, Ms. Qureshi was the Director of Professional Development for the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, headquartered in Chicago, IL. She served in that role for 3 years, traveling extensively across North America. Ms. Qureshi has a BA from the University of Richmond and an MPM (Master of Public Management) from Carnegie Mellon University.

She is a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh and has served in leadership roles there. She has served in Board positions at Phillips Elementary School where her children attended. Catherine is the author of an inspirational book and is the co-founder of Civic Cards, a company that produced political trading cards. She lives in Pittsburgh’s Southside neighborhood with her loving family.
