Sneak Peek of the new Frick Environmental Center

Exactly 12 years to the date from when the former Frick Environmental Center was gutted by a fire, on Aug. 4 the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy broke ground on a new center.

When complete, the center — which is being constructed on the site of the original location in Frick Park — will be one of the greenest buildings in the world. The building is designed to meet both the Living Building Challenge (LBC) and LEED Platinum standards. Read full article
