The “Let’s Talk About Parks” series is designed to encourage exploration and discovery of Pittsburgh’s urban parks.
A hike through a field, the woods or along the edge of a railroad track will likely put you in contact with a thorny plant. But those thorns serve an important role in the survival of a number of plants found in our parks.
