Pittsburgh’s parks are full of interesting and odd-looking plants, but one in particular stands out for its beauty, usefulness and lively behavior.

The jewelweed plant is often seen along shady trails and pathways where it blooms from May through October. You can recognize it by its tiny trumpet-shaped yellow and orange flowers, which are dusted with red speckles. Read full article
