Let’s Talk About Parks: Early Summer Trees

Early summer is almost here, and there are more shades of green visible in our city parks than any other time of year. The light greens of maple trees, the deep dark hues of fur trees, and every shade of green in between surrounds you as you hike through our parks in summer. A few years ago, the City of Pittsburgh did a tree count of Frick, Highland, Riverview, and Schenley Parks, and found 373,000 trees on more than 900 acres of forested parkland.
