Lake at North Side’s Allegheny Commons Park Will Use Less Water
Lake Elizabeth in the North Side’s Allegheny Commons Park has been a water hog at the expense of Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority ratepayers, but a new mechanical system to recirculate and aerate the water is expected to save $129,000 each year, said Brendan Schubert, PWSA’s manager of external affairs.
The Historic Review Commission approved the plan last month and PWSA is nearing completion of an agreement with the city’s public works department. Read Full Article
