Gratekeepers Cleanup Event
Volunteer to clean up the grates in Riverview with Allegheny Cleanways!
Take part in an afternoon of GrateKeeping in Riverview Park! We'll be hosting a 'storm drain sweep,' cleaning up and mapping as many of the catch basins in the park as we can. Visit the Allegheny CleanWays table at 1 Riverview Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15214 to pick up a GrateKeepers cleanup kit, spend a little time protecting the waterways from trash and debris, then keep the kit if you'd like to become a GrateKeeper for good!
Riverview Park has over 250 acres of beautiful forest, so we'll have a lot of ground to cover. This is an especially great event for the bikers and hikers among us: get your miles and steps in while caring for the environment! We'll provide all the tools necessary; participants will need to have a gps-enabled smartphone.
