Presented by Write Pittsburgh as part of the NEA Big Read program, the Tea & Honey Book Club is an intergenerational book club and writing workshop exploring gratitude, community, and connection, using Ross Gay’s Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude as a guiding text. Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude is a sustained meditation on that which goes away—loved ones, the seasons, the earth as we know it—that tries to find solace in the processes of the garden and the orchard. A single, introductory session will be held at several sites throughout Pittsburgh in January/February 2025, and a final online gathering of all the sites in one session will be held at the end of February. Write Pittsburgh is a program collective that amplifies voices, empowers writers, and fosters relationships that build community. An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience.
