Presented by Write Pittsburgh as part of the NEA Big Read program, the Sunrise Gratitude Walk & Write is a time to allow ourselves a moment of gratitude and joy in community with each other and the natural world, and to explore that experience through writing. Write Pittsburgh is a program collective that amplifies voices, empowers writers, and fosters relationships that build community. This year, Write Pittsburgh is celebrating Ross Gay’s Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, a sustained meditation on that which goes away—loved ones, the seasons, the earth as we know it—that tries to find solace in the processes of the garden and the orchard.
