Meditate for a Cause: Inner Journey to Sustainable Action promises to be a deep-dive into a variety of meditation practices aiming to cultivate compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to do the inner work needed to sustain individual and social change. Participants will be guided by mindfulness experts who will offer insightful teachings, meditative practices, and invaluable tools to help navigate the challenges that come with being a human.
Meditate for a Cause is not just about developing mindfulness skills; it’s about applying these skills to foster a more conscious, equitable, and compassionate society. As we journey within, we recognize the interconnectedness of all things and understand how our individual actions can have far-reaching impacts.
All proceeds from the event will be directed towards Awaken Pittsburgh’s initiatives dedicated to empowering individuals to carry out the inner work needed for sustainable social action in their communities. These include workshops, programs, and practices designed to cultivate personal growth and the capacity for positive, long-term systemic changes.

11:00 Sound Healing and Walking Meditation
Noon Mindful Eating / Lunch
1:00 Forest Bathing and Closing Practice
Children’s programming will be available from 10:00 – 1:00 for children ages 5 and up (please complete a registration for each child). All ages are welcome to attend the forest bathing.
You are welcome to register for the full day, or for specific practices. If attending a partial day, please purchase a ticket for each event you plan to attend.
