Join PPC’s restoration gardener, Reid Loughead, on Saturday, September 7, 2024 for a tree identification hike that weaves tales of the past with Pittsburgh’s present-day woodlands. We’ll meet at the Frick Environmental Center gatehouse for a light hike, observing various tree species used by freedom seekers in their everyday lives and in their journeys to freedom. This educational hike is part of a larger event, our Freedom Harvest Celebration, with food vendors and music set up just in time for our group’s return back to the FEC. Spots are limited – RSVP today!
Programs at the Frick Environmental Center are supported by the taxpayers of Allegheny County through a public grant from the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD)
