Author and Pittsburgh native Lisa Donovan will share her love of birds and read her children’s book Birds in My Backyard–a whimsical celebration of the incredible birds that we see in our area. The reading will be followed by a bird-collage-making activity led by illustrator Dee Paras. A short birdwatching hike with a naturalist educator will conclude the session. This program is best suited for parents and caregivers with children under 10 years old. Books will be available for sale.
Frick Environmental Center, Classroom (Bird hike will take place on the trails near the environmental center)
This program is best for families with younger children (under 8).
Please note that a photographer may be on-site to capture photos and video from the program. The photos/video captured may be used to help the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy further promote its mission. Please advise the photographer on-site if you DO NOT want your photo/video taken.

Refund Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 48 hours before the program start time for a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the program start time are non-refundable. Refunds may take up to 10 days to process.
