This is a special edition of Birding Pittsburgh’s Parks that will take place at the bird banding research hub in Hays Woods Park.
New to bird watching? Looking for a group to go birding with? Join Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin in Birding Pittsburgh’s Parks. Beginners are welcome, and binoculars will be available for those who would like to borrow a pair for the walk. This month’s walk will meet in Hay’s Woods at the Agnew St Trailhead. We’ll walk from the trailhead out to Bird Lab’s banding site, where we’ll have an opportunity to observe their operations and ask questions about the birds they are studying in Hays. Banding operations are weather-dependent, walk will be rescheduled to the following Tuesday in the event of rain.
Suggested donation of $20 per person to support Bird Lab and ecological restoration initiatives in Hays Woods Park.
