Join us for a casual morning of watching, listening to, and enjoying birds! This event is designed to be intentionally inclusive and accessible for beginner birders and people who experience accessibility challenges. All are welcome to attend.
We will spend our time on a short wheelchair accessible outing around the flat paved paths surrounding the environmental center and near the bird feeders of the Frick Environmental Center. Accessible bathrooms are available in the building and on our short path. An elevator will be available to access lower levels of the building for different views of the birds. Attendees will be able to choose for themselves whether they would prefer a mostly mobile, partially mobile, or fully stationary birding experience, and our event leaders will split up to accommodate those three preferences.
Extra binoculars, folding chairs, coffee, and tea will be available for attendees. ASL interpreters will be in attendance for this event. Registration is required. A site map detailing points of interest for this event is available here.
For detailed accessibility information on this location, please visit the Frick Environmental Center Birdability Site Review on the Birdability Map.
