Emerald View Park Gardens
Emerald View Park was established in 2005. It joined preexisting park spaces with the wooded hillside that has 11 miles of hiking trails . The park has several informal garden spaces at entrances to hiking trails. Along the side of Mt. Washington that faces downtown Pittsburgh park visitors can find informal garden beds at Bigbee Field, Sycamore St, and the Points of View Statue. Some small more formal gardens can be found at Grandview Park Entrance and at the intersection of Grandview Ave & McArdle Roadway, we refer to this garden as the Anchor Green garden. There is a rain garden at Republic St. trail entrance that is planted with native plants. Park visitors will also find native plants at the trail entrance located at Greenleaf St.
