Celebrating Earth Month
At the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, every day is Earth Day! We honor Earth Day (April 22) during the month of April, with two community celebrations in neighborhood parks. Our naturalist educators team up with community organizations to offer an afternoon of free, family-friendly fun in Westinghouse Park (Saturday, April 5) and McKinley Park (Saturday, April 19).
These free community events foster a sense of appreciation for planet earth and our local green spaces, with:
- Live music
- Free food
- Nature-inspired crafts,
- Lawn games
- Activities for the whole family, and more!
We hope you will join us in showing love for Mother Earth this April!
Our wonderful community partners include City of Pittsburgh, Trying Together, Tree Pittsburgh, The Reading Room, Outdoor Inclusion Coalition, Pittsburgh Resources Council, POGOH, The Westinghouse Legacy, Write Pittsburgh, Carnegie Science Center, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, American Chemical Society, Pittsburgh Park Rangers, and more!
The events are free, and registration is not required.
Sponsorship information coming soon!

WE ARE ALL IN. ARE YOU?
Pittsburghers need parks. They're where families create lasting memories together, where people of all ages connect to nature, and where all of us can simply enjoy a breath of fresh air. Parks, in return, do more than we realize. They clean the air, filter stormwater, lower stress, and provide a natural sanctuary.
We believe in the power of parks. We are all in. Are you?
