Earth Day Events Offer Reasons to Get Outdoors

Many people credit the original Earth Day on April 22, 1970, for sparking the environmental movement that continues today with efforts to preserve the planet and the environment, in Pittsburgh, nationally and worldwide.

Although the official Earth Day remains April 22, several environmental and other organizations host events throughout the latter part of April to provide people with hands-on, educational activities that promote environmental awareness and eco-friendly living. Read full article
