By making a donation of a Commemorative Tree you will be planting a 2” caliper size tree in a park where our horticulture and forestry staff are currently restoring the urban tree canopy. You will be provided with an opportunity to choose the species and Parks Conservancy staff will send you a photo and location of your tree once planted. Your Commemorative Tree donation includes developmental care (pruning, mulching, bark guards, etc.) by Parks Conservancy staff for the first two years after planting and guarantees that your tree will be replaced if it dies within five years of the planting date.
Best planting practices dictate that trees are planted in Spring and Fall. Commemorative trees (including ones with ceremonies) donated after March 1 will be held and planted in November and trees donated after September 1 will be held and planted in the April.
