As part of the Commemorative Tree Planting and Ceremony, a Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy staff member will be in touch regarding the particular tree species that will be planted and the location. Additionally, a Parks Conservancy staff member will be in attendance to help with the planting and photographs of your ceremony. This donation level also includes a follow-up email with photos and a detailed tree location; developmental care (pruning, mulching, bark guards, etc.) by Parks Conservancy horticulturalists for the first two years after planting; and guarantee that your tree will be replaced if it dies within five years of planting.
Best planting practices dictate that trees are planted in Spring and Fall. Commemorative trees (including ones with ceremonies) donated after February 24 will be held and planted in November and trees donated after September 1 will be held and planted in April.
