Celebrating Our Corporate Champions: Spring 2025 Edition
At the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, we know that it takes a community to care for our city's beloved green spaces—and our corporate partners continue to go above and beyond to support that mission. From hands-on volunteer days to transformative investments in environmental education, these recent activities highlight just how much impact is possible when we work together.
Here's a look at some of the inspiring ways our corporate champions have been making a difference in Pittsburgh's parks:
S&B USA Construction & Fay
In a powerful blend of environmental stewardship and educational outreach, S&B USA and Fay hosted students from Pittsburgh Public Schools' Science and Technology Academy for a memorable day in Frick Park. After joining us for a morning of stewardship activities, students toured the nearby Commercial Street Bridge construction site to learn about sustainable careers in the construction industry. To top it all off, the company presented the Parks Conservancy with a generous $50,000 gift to support our education programs—an incredible investment in the future of Pittsburgh's parks and the next generation of green leaders.
WTW
Volunteers from WTW spent a productive day at the Frick Environmental Center campus, sprucing up landscape beds and tackling restoration work in the Clayton Hill deer exclosure. Their dedication is helping us keep Pittsburgh's largest regional park healthy and welcoming for all!
Braskem
Braskem continues to be a valued partner in our efforts to beautify public parks. This spring, their team installed hundreds of native plants in the garden beds at Schenley Plaza—a colorful and impactful way to support pollinators and park visitors alike.
Turner Construction
Turner teammates once again showed up in a big way for their annual Founder's Day event. This year, they rolled up their sleeves to help refresh the Schenley Park Visitor Center. We're grateful for their ongoing support and park pride!
Koppers
Riverview Park received some extra love thanks to the team from Koppers! Their volunteers enhanced several park entrances with new plantings while also removing invasive species—a lasting contribution to the health of this cherished Northside park.
dentsu
Schenley Plaza also got a boost from volunteers at dentsu, who added hundreds of plants to garden beds across the Plaza. Their efforts brought beauty and biodiversity to this lively community gathering space.
We are so grateful to all our corporate partners who generously donate their time, energy, and resources to help our parks thrive. Your commitment to a greener and healthier Pittsburgh is felt in every planted tree, restored trail, and inspired student!
