Dear Supporter of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy,

Thank you so very much for your steadfast support of this organization and for Pittsburgh’s parks over the last 21 years. I wanted you to know that, with my retirement approaching in March, the Parks Conservancy board has named Jayne Miller as my successor. I can’t think of a better person I’d rather see leading the organization into its next phase.

Superintendent Miller_Fall Portraits_Minnehaha Falls_10312015_04H-509167-edited.jpgJayne is currently the Superintendent of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, which has been named the #1 park system in the country by the Trust for Public Land. Jayne has extensive professional experience to meet whatever challenges come our way. Jayne is also a real listener. I know that from having met and talked with Jayne at meetings and conferences over the years. It is one of the things that makes me convinced she is a great choice for Pittsburgh. I look forward to you getting to know her as you’ll also become convinced that Jayne Miller cares deeply about providing a great park experience for kids, families and all park users.

I appreciate your continued support so that together we could raise more than $105 million and complete 17 major capital projects in Pittsburgh’s parks.

I will always treasure my 21 years leading this organization.

Yours Truly,
