$3.8M in Improvements to Pittsburgh Parks’ Trails Celebrated

Chris Rosenfeld strolled down Lower Panther Hollow Trail in Schenley Park, his 20-month-old daughter Sophia Palangio-Rosenfeld perched on his shoulders and clutching a dandelion. His two dogs, Grumley and Beazley, sauntered ahead on leashes.

"This is like our daily routine," said Rosenfeld of Greenfield. "I don't think we missed a day since we've been here."

Rosenfeld is among the residents enjoying the Trail Improvement Project at Schenley, Frick, Highland and Riverview parks. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and the city's Department of Public Works, which have managed the project, are holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning to highlight the work. Read full article
