Landscape Exploration Program

The Landscape Exploration Program is a two-day course designed to introduce seventh-graders to concepts of landscape design. It promotes parks as outdoor classrooms for teaching history, art, and science. The course includes field trips to the parks and discussion on landscape design and ecological issues such as erosion, invasive species, and watershed health. Students develop their own 3-D models for hypothetical improvements to the parks that they present to their fellow students. (This program is not currently being offered.)
