Get Involved in the Parks
You use the parks, you love the parks--now it's time to truly become involved in the parks.
Get to know the parks more deeply through the Parks Conservancy's educational programs, or volunteer your time. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy relies heavily on volunteers to accomplish our work in the parks, particularly our ecological restoration initiatives. We accomplish volunteer projects in several ways:
- Volunteer work days, where individuals can sign up to work on a one-time project in the parks
- Corporate and community work days, where organizations work with us to plan a project for a group
- The Urban EcoSteward program, where individuals sign up to receive training and perform long-term maintenance on a designated area of parkland
- The High School Urban EcoSteward program, which gives young people the chance to learn more about the value of our parks and help make them beautiful
Join the effort—explore our volunteer opportunities and sign up to be notified of upcoming projects!
