The Great Race 10K Run

On Your Mark! Get Set! Go! The 33rd Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race 10K registration has begun. Individual runners, teams, and wheelchair athletes are training for a new running season. The USATF certified course for the 10K (6.2 miles) is predominantly a downhill course and runs along Fifth Avenue and the Boulevard of the Allies. Portions of the proceeds are donated to the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund in honor of race founder and late mayor of Pittsburgh, Richard S. Caliguiri. City Councilman Bill Peduto will join speakers from the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest, and the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association for an educational tour of Frick Park. The group will discuss development of our city parks, trees, and green spaces. Presented by Venture Outdoors. Cost is $10 for VO members and $15 for non-members. Register here.
